COURSE DESCRIPTION
This eight-week executive course is designed to equip professionals with advanced public speaking and leadership communication skills essential for influencing audiences, leading teams, and communicating with confidence in professional environments. The course combines principles of persuasive communication, executive presence, and leadership messaging to help participants become impactful communicators in both corporate and public settings.
The course covers key areas such as speech development, audience analysis, presentation delivery, persuasive communication, executive communication strategies, storytelling, crisis communication, nonverbal communication, media engagement, and leadership influence. Students will also explore confidence-building techniques, emotional intelligence in communication, and strategies for communicating effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels.
Over the eight weeks, students will engage in practical applications including speech presentations, simulations, case studies, individual assessments, end of course assessment, and leadership communication exercises to strengthen their ability to communicate clearly, inspire teams, and deliver messages with confidence and authority.

- Impromptu Speaking Assessment
Students will deliver unprepared speeches on randomly assigned topics to assess confidence, clarity of thought, spontaneity, structure under pressure, and audience engagement within a limited time frame. - Persuasive Leadership Presentation
Students will prepare and deliver a structured presentation aimed at influencing decisions, motivating teams, or advocating for change. Assessment focuses on persuasive techniques, executive presence, organization of ideas, and delivery impact. - TED-Style Leadership Talk
Students will deliver a concise, high-impact talk on a leadership idea, innovation, or societal issue. Evaluation focuses on storytelling, originality, clarity, emotional engagement, and communication influence. - Leadership Press Conference Simulation
Students will respond to simulated media questions in a press conference setting, demonstrating crisis communication, composure, message control, and strategic leadership responses under pressure. - Crisis Communication Role-Play
Students will manage a simulated organizational crisis by delivering statements, addressing stakeholders, and responding to evolving scenarios. Assessment focuses on professionalism, clarity, decision communication, and emotional intelligence. - Inspirational Storytelling Showcase
Students will deliver a compelling leadership story designed to inspire and engage an audience. Assessment focuses on narrative structure, authenticity, emotional connection, voice delivery, and audience impact.
PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)
- Camera Requirement:
For all presentation-based assessments, students must keep their camera on at all times during delivery to ensure proper evaluation of non-verbal communication, professionalism, and executive presence. - Duration Requirement:
Each presentation must be a minimum of 10 minutes per student. Students are expected to fully develop their ideas and demonstrate depth of communication. Presentations below 10 minutes may be penalized or require repetition.
